Are You Upgrading?

Are You Upgrading?

When was the last time you upgraded your hardware?

I recently came across an intriguing analogy by Nick Lo, the COO of Myodetox. Thinking about ourselves as iPhones, everything developed internally is our hardware and everything learned is our software. We start out with brand new iPhones, the hardware, and start downloading apps, the software, things that we want to do. In our lives, we have apps for business, health, et cetera.

We constantly add new apps and update them to the latest version, but this can slow down our iPhone and create malfunctions. Often, we need to upgrade our iPhone to a newer model (ourselves), in order to run these apps effectively. You wouldn’t try to run the latest and greatest app on an old iPhone 3GS would you? By reprogramming our hardware and upgrading our “iPhone” we can run our “apps” more effectively.

So, instead of always focusing on doing more, maybe it’s time we invest in upgrading our systems.
